SPECIAL MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TAMPICO

Mayor Kristine L. Hill called the special meeting of the Tampico Village Council to order at 6:30PM.

Commissioners Toby Johnson, Bruce Hill, Mary Jo Sigel and Derrick Maupin were present.

Discussion was held on the Class C Liquor License application of the Crystal Cork, LLC, Dixon IL. The special one day liquor license is in conjunction with a Tampico Historic Preservation Advisory Committee fund raising event on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the RCC. The “Brat Fest” will offer food along with beer and wine tasting.

Mayor Hill advised council members, the Crystal Cork and its experienced staff have done many of these events in the past. Council members made sure the license application and proof of insurance coverage documents were in order.

On a motion by Commissioner Hill, second by Commissioner Johnson, approval for a Class C liquor license was given to the Crystal Cork, Dixon, IL for October 18, 2014 from 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm during a fund raising event for the Tampico Historic Preservation Committee. “Yes” votes were Johnson, Hill, Sigel, Maupin and Mayor Hill. The motion carried.

The special meeting adjourned at 6:45 pm. The next regular meeting of the Tampico Village Council will be Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 7:00 PM in the Reagan Community Center located at 202 W. Second Street.
