REGULAR MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TAMPICO
September 3, 2019

Mayor Kristine L. Hill called the Regular Meeting of the Tampico Village Council to order at 7:00PM.
Commissioners Jim Coleman, Al Wildman and Tammy Kendell were present. Commissioner Ryan DeBrock was absent. Police Chief Terry Strike and Officer Will Lukehart were also present. Village Clerk, Kathy Leathers, recorded the written and audio minutes.
Mayor Hill led those present in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Minutes of the August 20, 2019 Regular Meeting were approved as presented.
Reports of Village Officials
Mayor Hill advised Village residents to turn in their Cross Connection Survey’s to the Village Hall office as soon as possible. If you did not receive one please let the office know. You may also drop the survey off in the drop box out front of Village Hall during closed hours.
Mayor Hill then reported that there have been gypsies working the area with blacktopping. They will quote a price, do the work then charge a different price. Please everyone be aware. They do try to target the elderly. Officer Lukehart said don’t hesitate to call the police if you have any concerns. They should also have a permit to do the work in town.

There were no remarks from guests at this time
Unfinished Business
Mayor Hill advised that the company working on the Water Main Replacement Project did have to take a couple days off, due to weather, but they were back at it hard today.
New Business
There was no New Business to discuss at this time.
There were no Building Permits issued at this time.
Communications
Clerk Leathers advised that the Municipal Minute reported that Illinois has adopted a Single Occupancy Restroom Law, so we’ll be needing to change the signs on the restrooms here.
Leathers then informed that the Council received a copy of the State House Briefing so they can stay current on what’s being done in Springfield and what the Governor is preparing to sign.
Leathers advised that in the Review that was handed out this time, on page 5, you’ll see estimated State shared Municipal revenue figures that will show if we’re going to be better off or worse.
Bills were ordered paid on a motion by Commissioner Wildman with a second by Commissioner Coleman. “Yes” votes were Coleman, Wildman, Kendell and Mayor Hill. The motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 7:06 PM. The next Regular Meeting of the Tampico Village Council will be Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 7:00 PM in the Reagan Community Center located at 202 W. Second Street.
