Reports of Village Officials

Mayor Hill advised that the Enterprise Zone requested the Village’s letter of support for Jo-Carrol Energy in helping to get broadband to our rural areas. A letter of support was sent.

Bud Thompson from Prophetstown donated cards to be sold at the Birthplace at $5.00 per pack. They have pictures of the murals that he’s done around the Village with a description of them on the back of the card. Bud did this at his own expense to help the Birthplace try to raise funds. Mayor Hill reported that Bud presented them to Joan Johnson at the Birthplace last week and she was very happy to be there to see it. They’re very nice and would make great souvenirs.

Commissioner Kendell reported that she and Chriest have been looking into pricing for the salt shed and they’re just waiting on confirmation of what can all be purchased with Motor Fuel Tax funds. Mayor Hill asked for the information they have on it so she can help.

Bills were ordered paid on a motion by Commissioner Kendell, second by Commissioner DeBrock. “Yes” votes were Coleman, Morales, DeBrock, Kendell and Mayor Hill. The motion carried.
