SPECIAL MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TAMPICO

Mayor Bruce Peltier called the Special Meeting of the Tampico Village Council to order at 6:00 PM.

Commissioners Sherry Coleman, Susan Dean, Tammy Kendell and Jim Coleman were present. Also present was Chief Strike and Village Superintendent, Tyler Chriest. Village Clerk, Jamie McIntire, recorded the written and audio minutes.

Mayor Peltier led those present in the Pledge of Allegiance.

The Mayor, Clerk, Council, Village Superintendent and Chief of Police met and discussed budget figures for the 2025-2026 Fiscal Year Appropriations. Clerk McIntire provided budget figures from past budgets and the current figures for the current budget fiscal year. Each department was reviewed one by one with changes being made where needed and to include a possible purchase of a generator for one of the lift stations and a new fire hydrant to replace one that’s currently inoperable. Both purchases would affect the Water/Sewer appropriate line items.

Final review and approval of the budget is set to be had at the March 18, 2025 Regular Village Meeting.

The meeting adjourned at 6:54 PM.
